Delete your account and data

Applies to The One (Android and iOS app).

In the app (fastest)

1. Open The One and go to Profile → Settings → Privacy.
2. Tap Delete my account.
3. Type DELETE to confirm.

Deletion is immediate. There is no grace period and it cannot be undone.

What is deleted

• Your profile, prompts, interests and preferences.
• All your photos.
• Your Favourites, Likes, matches, messages, blocks and reports you made.
• Your sign-in account (email or phone) and push notification token.

What may be kept, and for how long

• Records we must keep for payment or tax law (handled by Google Play, Apple or the payment provider, not by us).
• Short-lived technical logs used for abuse prevention, kept up to 30 days, and security backups that are overwritten on the normal backup cycle.

Cannot open the app?

Email privacy@theone-app.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm your identity and delete your data within 30 days.

Download your data first

In the app: Settings → Privacy → Download my data gives you a JSON file of your data.
